About me
I’m Bastion Hunt. I built this site to share school projects, ideas, and things I care about.
Why “Bastion”
I’m named after bastions in general, the parts of a fort that stick out so defenders can cover the walls and the ground in front of them. The faint background here is a cool aerial of Castillo de San Marcos in St. Augustine, Florida: a classic four-bastion star fort, picked because it shows the shape well.
My parents chose the name because defending people who can’t defend themselves matters, and they want me to grow up strong enough to take care of people. That’s a lot to grow into, but I’m proud they baked it into my name.
When people say last bastion, they mean the one thing still standing when everything else has quit, gone quiet, or given in. I intend to be the last bastion for anyone who needs me: the one who still shows up, still defends what matters, and still refuses to walk away when it gets hard. A cool name is only the start. I am building myself to live up to it.
What I like
Sports keep me moving and teach me how to work with a team. Gaming is fun, but I also like thinking about how games are designed. School is where I get to dive into subjects and turn in work I’m proud of. Technology is how this website exists, and I want to keep learning how things are built.
I spend a lot of time outside too: swimming, biking, hiking, roller blading, fishing, and camping. National parks, ice fishing, my teepee build, and other bigger photo sets are on Outside adventures.
About this site
School assignments and projects live on the School page. Some pages are for class (like my meal plan project); others might be experiments or notes as I go.
